Your first consult is completely free. After that, follow-up appointments are $35-70 each, depending on appointment type. You’ll always know any costs upfront — no surprises.
You can view a detailed breakdown of our pricing here.
Testing is done at your local Dynacare or Life labs location, and all OHIP covered tests will be at no charge to you. There may be some out of pocket costs for uninsured tests, paid at the time of blood draw, but you can decide if you'd like to get them done. The more data your practitioner has, the better recommendations they can give you for treatment.
At HorminaCare, every appointment time is reserved specifically for you. Our Nurse Practitioners log in and prepare for your visit in advance, so last-minute cancellations or missed appointments prevent us from offering that time to another patient who may need care.
To help respect our providers’ time and ensure fair scheduling for all patients, the following policies apply.
Initial consult appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time.
This fee helps cover the reserved time held by your Nurse Practitioner.
To cancel or reschedule your initial consultation, please email patientcare@horminacare.com.
⸻
Follow-up appointments are charged at the time of booking.
If you need to reschedule a follow-up appointment between 24–48 hours before your appointment, please email patientcare@horminacare.com. The timestamp of your email will be used to determine eligibility for rescheduling.
⸻
Our Nurse Practitioners dedicate time specifically for each patient visit. When appointments are missed or cancelled at the last minute, that time cannot typically be offered to another patient who may be waiting for care.
These policies help ensure our providers are compensated fairly for their time while allowing us to keep appointment availability accessible for everyone.
At the moment, HorminaCare does not bill directly through insurance. That said, we’re actively working toward partnering with insurance providers to make our care more accessible.
If you’re an insurance provider interested in offering HorminaCare’s services to your members, we’d love to connect. Please visit our Partners page to learn more and get in touch with our team.
Unfortunately, virtual appointments with a Nurse Practitioner aren't covered by OHIP. We agree — healthcare should be free and accessible to everyone. We hope to get OHIP to cover our services soon. You can help; send them an email CCU.MOH@ontario.ca
Yes — absolutely. Your family doctor will not be charged or penalized for you using HorminaCare. Our services are privately paid and not billed through OHIP, so they do not affect your doctor’s rostered billing or capitation payments. You’re free to use HorminaCare alongside your existing provider, and we will loop them into your care if necessary.
All appointments are conducted by licensed Nurse Practitioners who specialize in women’s hormone health. You can select a provider at the time of booking. You’ll work directly with your NP throughout your care journey for consistency and support.
We currently serve patients across Ontario. We’ll be expanding to Alberta and British Columbia later in 2026 — you can join the waitlist to get notified as soon as we launch in your province.
All appointments are virtual and take place via secure video call. A link to the appointment will be sent out over email, once booked. Patients are expected to join with their camera on.
Yes — you can cancel or reschedule up to 48 hours before your appointment. This window allows us to offer your spot to another patient and ensures our providers’ time is used effectively. If you need to make changes, just log into your account or send us a message.
Every Nurse Practitioner on our team is fully licensed and trained with science-backed protocols for women’s hormone health. Beyond credentials, we select practitioners who prioritize listening, clear explanations, and personalized care.
We focus on the root cause — not just symptom relief. After reviewing your symptoms, medical history, and lab results, your Nurse Practitioner creates a treatment plan tailored to your biology. Plans may include medication, supplements, and lifestyle guidance based on the latest hormone science.
HorminaCare is designed for individuals assigned female at birth, from puberty through menopause. Given the complexity of hormones, our practitioners specialize in this area to deliver the most informed and effective care. At this time, we do not currently provide care for those undergoing gender-affirming hormone therapy. We believe in doing things with depth and care — ensuring our team can fully support this group before broadening our services.
All patient information is stored in systems certified and compliant in PHIPA, PIPEDA and SOC 2.
Protecting your privacy is a top priority at HorminaCare. Your personal health information is securely stored in our electronic medical record system, EMERGE, which is used by our clinical team to deliver your care.
In addition, we use a small number of trusted third-party platforms to support different parts of your care journey:
We only share information with these platforms when necessary and with your consent. For a complete and up-to-date list of how your data is handled, please review our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
